Hi Friends, 

My name is Diana  

 I have been Creative, my entire life ~you better grab a cup of your favorite beverage...  this is a Long story!

I have been drawing & creating cozy spaces for as long as I can remember... 

building forts, rearranging the furniture in our family home ( much to Mom's dismay and later my husband's) sewing, cooking & baking.  I guess you could say I like to keep busy!

As a Teen I was in the Art programs for both Elementary & High school.  I was also a Dancer from the age of 3.  To say I had an amazing childhood is an understatement.

I opened my first creative business as a Teen ~ My Dad loaned me $100 to purchase supplies, drove me to Lewiscraft (that is likely aging me a tad)  & created Home décor to sell at a Local Corner store, Including Gingerbread Houses at Christmas time... It was great fun!

Fast forward a couple of years ~ In 1987 I took a few painting classes so I could get out of the house ~ and next thing you know, Mike was cutting wood, and I was painting it.  Mike would pack up the goods & go to craft sales to sell my paintings.  I started teaching workshops at the request of some craft show customers & have never looked back... then my business was called Farmer Di's Country Crafts ~ we have such awesome memories of those days, cutting wood with an inverted Jigsaw mounted on a Router table & a jimmy-rigged platform my father in law made.

Then in 1998 I went to college & graduated after 3  long hard years with a diploma in Interior Design and Welcome Home Interiors was born.  I worked for a corporate design firm for several years, although I longed to be in my workshop creating. I resigned from my corporate job & started painting again.

Auctions, so many auctions, time spent picking at thrift & antique shops so I could start up-cycling furniture & home décor.  In the beginning, we made our chalk-based furniture paint and attended vendor events all over Eastern Ontario with my sister... we had a great time.

I started teaching workshops again, this is my passion, to teach!  I became a certified Country Chic Instructor & started carrying that brand of Furniture paint in 2018.  then in 2021, we added more painting supplies & accessories including ReDesign with Prima transfers, decoupage paper & Molds.

So fast forward to today, there is the Studio where I create the smalls & sell Painting supplies. The workshop space is almost ready for larger pieces to be curated!!! There is also an online space for workshops.
